Colossians.

< Colossians KWL. >

Colossians 1.

9 For this reason too, since the day we heard, we’ve not stopped praying for you,
asking that you’d be filled with knowledge of his will, with all wisdom;
flowing in the supernatural 10 so you can walk right, like the Master;
eager to please, producing good fruit with every good deed, growing in God-knowledge,
11 empowered with all the power to joyfully endure and be patient
(according to his mighty opinion of you),
12 giving thanks to the Father who qualified you for a portion,
the assignment given saints in the light.
13 The Father, who rescued you from darkness’s authority,
redirected you into his beloved Son’s kingdom.
14 In the kingdom, we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Cl 1.15-19:
Jesus is Yʜᴡʜ. Yʜᴡʜ is Jesus.
15 The Son is the invisible God’s ikon, coming first to all creation.
17 By him God created the whole of the heavens and what’s on the earth.
The seen and unseen, whether thrones, lordships, rulers, or powers:
Everything through Jesus, founded upon him.
17 Jesus is before everything. He holds everything together.
18 Jesus is the head of the body—the church.
He’s even the first to come back from the dead, so he can be first in everything.
19 God was pleased to dwell, in all his fullness, in Jesus.
20 And through Jesus, he reconciled everything—whether on earth or heaven—
to himself, making peace through the blood of his cross.

Colossians 3.

22 Slaves: Be responsible about everything to the masters over your body.
Don’t just try to please them while they’re watching,
but with an undivided heart, and fear of the Master.
23 Whatever you do with your life, you do as if to the Master, not humans—
24 knowing you’ll receive your payment from the Master,
the inheritance of Christ the Master, whom you serve.
Cl 3.25:
“God makes all things work together for our good.”
25 One who does harm: What he harmed will come back upon him.
There’s no favoritism.
