Revelation.

< Revelation KWL. >

Revelation 1.

1 The revelation of Christ Jesus,
which God gave him to show his servants what’s going to come quickly.
The Sender gave this information, through his angel, to his servant John,
2 who witnessed God’s message and Christ Jesus’s witness—as far as he could see.
3 How much better it is for those who precisely know the words of its prophecies,
and guard the things that were written in it! For the time is near.
4 John. To the seven churches in Asia Minor.
Grace to you, and peace from the Being, the Been, and the Coming;
and the seven spirits in front of his throne;
5 and from Christ Jesus, the trustworthy witness,
the firstborn from the dead, the prince over the world’s kings.
To the One who loves us, and frees us from our sins through his blood,
6 and made us a kingdom, priests of God His Father:
To him, high opinion and power forever and ever. Amen.
7 Look! He comes with the clouds, and every eye will see him—
including whoever stabbed him, and all the tribes of the world will wail over him. Yes, amen.
8 “I’m the first and last letter,” Master God says,
“the Being, the Been, and the Coming; the Almighty.”
Rv 1.9-18:
Jesus still appears to people, y’know.
9 I’m John, your fellow Christian, experiencing the tribulation with you—
and the kingdom, and the patient endurance of Jesus.
I was put on the island called Patmos because of God’s word and my witness of Jesus.
10 In spirit, I saw the Day of the Lord.
I heard a great voice behind me, like a war trumpet, 11 saying,
“Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches—
to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”
Rv 1.12-16:
White Jesus… and those who insist he stay that way.
12 I turned round to see the voice speaking with me,
and in so doing I saw seven gold lampstands;
13 in the middle of the lampstands, one like the Son of Man,
clad in a full-length robe with a gold belt wrapped round his chest.
14 His head and hair: White, like white wool, like snow. His eyes like fiery flames.
15 His feet the same: White bronze, refined in a furnace. His voice: Like the sound of many waters.
16 He had seven stars in his right hand. From his mouth came a sharp, double-edged saber.
His face: Like the sun, shining in its power.
Rv 1.17-18:
“The gates of hell”: Just how won’t they prevail?
17 Once I saw the Son of Man, I fell to his feet like a dead man.
He placed his right hand on me, saying, “Don’t fear!
I’m the First and the Last 18 and the Living. I became a dead man and look: I’m living!
Forever and ever. I have the keys to death and the afterlife.
19 So write what you saw: What exists,
and what’s about to exist after these things.
20 The mystery of the seven stars you saw in my right hand, and the seven gold lampstands:
The seven stars are angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Revelation 2.

1 “To the angel of the Ephesus church, write:
“Thus says the Ruler of the seven stars in his right hand,
the walker in middle of the seven gold lampstands.
2 I know your works: your beating, your endurance, that you don’t tolerate evil,
that you tested the sayings of your ‘apostles’ and found them untrue, and frauds.
3 You have endurance and you carry my name, and haven’t grown tired.
4 But I have this against you: You set aside your original love.
5 So remember where you fell from, and repent, and do your first works.
Otherwise I’m coming—and I’ll move your lampstand out of its place if you don’t repent.
6 But this you have: You hate the works of Nikolas’s followers.
I hate them too.
7 Tell those with ears to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the winner, I will give food from the Tree of Life, which is in God’s Paradise.
8 “And to the angel of the Smyrna church, write:
“Thus says the First and the Last,
who became a dead man and lived.
9 I know about you—your suffering, your begging despite your wealth,
the slanders by those who say they’re themselves Jews—but aren’t; they’re a synagogue of Satan.
10 You’re about to suffer—but never fear it!
Look: The devil is about to throw some of your church into prison
so that you’d all be tested, and you’ll all suffer for 10 days.
Be faithful in the face of death, and I’ll give you the garland of life.
11 Tell those with ears to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
The winner will definitely not be harmed by the second death.
12 “And to the angel of the Pergamon church, write:
“Thus says the bearer of the sharp double-edged saber.
13 I know where you live, at Satan’s seat.
You cling to my name and don’t stop trusting me—
even when Antipas, my faithful witness, was killed beside you in Satan’s house.
14 But I have a few things against you: You have some followers of Bala’am’s teachings,
who showed Balak how to corrupt Israel into eating idol sacrifices and having sex with temple whores.
15 That’s what you have—and you’re following Nikolas’s teaching as well.
16 Turn away! If not, I’ll come to you swiftly, and I’ll fight them with the saber in my mouth.
17 Tell those with ears to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the winner, I’ll give the hidden manna.
I’ll give a white pebble, and on the pebble, a new name written on it
that none but the recipient knows.”

Revelation 3.

Rv 3.14-22:
“I stand at the door and knock.”
14 “To the angel of the church of Laodicea, write: Thus says the Amen,
the witness, the faithful and true one, the head of God’s creation.
15 I’ve known your works. You’re not chilled; not boiling. Wish you’d be either chilled or boiling.
16 So because you’re tepid, neither chilled nor boiling, I’m about to puke you out of my mouth:
17 You say, ‘I’m rich, I’ve been rich, I don’t need anything,’
and you’ve not realized you’re miserable, need help—a blind, naked beggar.
18 Take my advice: Buy fire-tested gold from me, so you can be rich.
Buy a white robe so you can put it on, and stop exposing your shameful nakedness.
Buy eyedrops to drop on your eyes, so you can see.
19 When I consider anyone friends, I convict and discipline them. Pr 3.11-12
So be zealous: Repent!
20 Look, I stood at the door and I’m knocking. When anyone hears my voice and unbolts the door,
I’ll enter the place, have a meal with them, and they with me.
21 I’ll give the conqueror a seat with me at my throne, which I also conquered,
and I sit with my Father at his throne.
22 Who has hearing ears? What’s the Spirit saying to the churches?”

Revelation 6.

Rv 6.9-11:
The comic book End Times. (Part 2.)Paradise: The nicer part of the afterlife.
9 When he broke the fifth seal, I saw under the altar:
The lives of those slaughtered because of God’s word,
because of the witness they had.
10 They called out in a loud voice, saying:
Our holy true lord, how long till you judge?
till you avenge our blood upon the earth’s inhabitants?”
11 Each of them was given a white robe,
and they were told it’ll stop in a little while:
Once they were full.
Their fellow servants, their brothers, were about to be killed just like them.
Rv 6.12-16:
The comic book End Times. (Part 3.)
12 When he broke the sixth seal, I saw a great earthquake come.
The sun became black, like sackcloth made of hair.
The full moon became like blood.
13 The heavenly stars fell to the earth like a fig tree, shaken by a great wind, drops its late figs.
14 The heavens parted like a rolled-up scroll,
and every hill and island was moved from its place.
15 All the earth’s kings, nobles, generals, wealthy, powerful—
everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in caves and mountain strongholds.
16 They told the hills and rocks, “Fall on us; hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne—
from the Lamb’s wrath! The great day of his wrath came! Who can survive it?”

Revelation 7.

Rv 7.1-4:
The comic book End Times. (Part 3.)
1 After this I saw four angels had stood on the earth’s four corners,
grasping the earth’s four winds so the wind wouldn’t blow on the earth, sea, nor any trees.
2 I saw another angel rising from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God.
He called out in a loud voice to the four angels,
which he broadcast to those who were damaging the earth and seas, 3 saying,
“Don’t damage the earth, seas, or trees, till I’ve sealed our God’s slaves on their foreheads.”
4 I heard the number of those who’d been sealed:
144,000 sealed out of every tribe of Israel’s sons.

Revelation 9.

Rv 9.1-12:
The comic book End Times. (Part 4.)
1 The fifth angel trumpeted. I saw a star, fallen from heaven to earth.
The key to the Abyss’s shaft was given to it. 2 He opened the Abyss’s shaft.
Smoke rose up from the shaft, like smoke from a giant furnace.
The sun and air were darkened by the shaft’s smoke.
3 Locusts came out of that smoke into the earth.
An ability was given to them like the ability scorpions have on the earth.
4 They were told they won’t harm the grass of the earth, nor plants nor trees,
but humans—whoever didn’t have God’s seal on the forehead.
5 They weren’t allowed to kill them, but to torture them five months.
Their torture’s like a scorpion’s torture when it stings a person.
6 On that day, people will look for death and never find it.
They’ll covet mortality, and death will flee from them.
7 The locusts’ form resembles horses that were prepared for war.
On their heads, something like a gold wreath; their faces like human faces;
8 having hair like women’s hair, teeth like lions’ teeth, 9 thoraxes like iron armor.
Their wings sound like many chariot horses running to war.
10 They have tails like scorpions, and stingers,
and their tails are able to sting people for five months.
11 They have a king over them: The angel of the Abyss,
its Aramaic name Avaddón, and in the Greek its name is Apollíon.
12 One woe down. Two more after this.

Rv 9.16-18:
The comic book End Times. (Part 4.)
16 The number of the army of horses: Two myriad myriads.
I heard their number.
17 This is how I saw the horses, and those sitting on them, in my vision:
Having chestplates of fiery red, smoky blue, and sulfur yellow.
The horses’ heads were like lions’ heads,
and from their mouths came fire, smoke, and sulfur.
18 By these three plagues, they killed a third of humanity—
with the fire, smoke, and sulfur which spewed out of their mouths.

Revelation 12.

Rv 12:
Satan’s fall.
1 A great sign was seen in the heavens: A woman who’d been clothed with the sun;
the moon under her feet; a wreath of 12 stars on her head.
2 Pregnant, in labor and the torment of childbirth, she cried out.
3 Another sign was seen in the heavens: Look, a great red dragon,
with seven heads and 10 horns; seven bands on its heads.
4 Its tail drags a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to earth.
The dragon had stood before the woman in childbirth,
so once she birthed her child, it’d devour it.
5 She birthed a male son who’s about to shepherd every people with an iron staff.
Her child was snatched away to God, to his throne.
6 The woman fled to the wilderness.
She has a place there, prepared her by God: He can feed her from there for 1,260 days.
Rv 12.7-9:
The first prophecy of a savior.“The gates of hell”: Just how won’t they prevail?God’s will in heaven and on earth.
7 War came to the heavens: Michael and its angels battling the dragon;
the dragon and its angels battling back 8 and failing.
No place was found for them anymore in the heavens.
9 The great dragon was thrown out, the primeval serpent which is called devil and Satan.
The deceiver of all civilization was thrown to earth,
and its angels were thrown out with it.
10 I heard a great voice in the heavens saying, Now comes salvation,
power, our God’s kingdom, his Messiah’s authority—
because our brothers and sisters’ accuser was thrown out,
who accused them before our God day and night.
11 They conquered it through the Lamb’s blood, and the message of their testimony:
They didn’t love their lives to death.
12 For this reason, rejoice, heavens, and those who live in it!
How sad for the earth and sea,
for the devil came down to you with great passion—
having known it has a brief moment.”
13 When the dragon saw it was thrown to the earth,
it chased the woman who’d birthed the male.
14 Two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman,
so she could fly to the wilderness from the face of the serpent,
to her place where she’d be fed there a moment, moments, and half a moment.
15 The serpent threw water like a river out of its mouth,
after the woman, so she’d be swept away.
16 The earth helped the woman: The earth opened its mouth
and swallowed the river which the dragon threw from its mouth.
17 Angry about the woman, the dragon went away to make war against the rest of her seed—
those who keep God’s commands and have Jesus’s testimony.
It stood on the sand of the sea.

Revelation 13.

Rv 13.18:
TCAB’s 2016 Presidential Antichrist Watch.
18 Here’s some wisdom: Count the Beast’s number, those of you who have a brain.
It’s a person’s number, and his number is 666.

Revelation 14.

Rv 14.1-5:
The comic book End Times. (Part 3.)
1 I saw—look!—the Lamb standing on Zion’s hill, and with him the 144,000,
who have his name and his Father’s name engraved on their foreheads.
2 I heard a heavenly sound, like the sound of many waters, like the sound of great thunder.
The sound which I heard was like a harpist harping on their harp.
3 They were singing a new song before the throne,
before the four living beings and elders,
and no one was able to learn the song but the 144,000 purchased from the earth.
4 They were never defiled by women, for they were virgins.
They were following the Lamb wherever he went.
They were bought from humanity—God’s and the Lamb’s firstfruits—
5 and in their mouths no lie was found. They’re spotless.

Revelation 16.

Rv 16.12-16:
The comic book End Times. (Part 4.)
12 The sixth angel poured its bowl on the great river Euphrates.
Its water dried up so a road could be prepared for the kings from the eastern sun.
13 I saw, from the mouth of the dragon, Beast, and fake prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs.
14 They’re sign-working demonic spirits, which go out to the kings of the whole civilized world,
to gather them for the war—the great day of God Almighty.
15 “Look! I come like a thief. Blessed are the awake, and the guarder of his garment:
He won’t walk around naked, and people will see his unmentionables.”
16 They gathered them together in the land which is called in Hebrew Har Meggido.

Revelation 19.

11 I saw the heavens had been opened. Look: A white horse.
A person sitting on it, called faithful and true, who judges fairly—and makes war.
12 His eyes: Like fiery flames. On his head: Many wreaths,
and a name inscribed which nobody understands but him.
13 Wearing a blood-dipped robe, his name is called God’s Word.
14 The invading armies of heaven are following him on white horses.
They’d been dressed in clean white linen.
15 From his mouth comes a sharp machete, because he struck the gentiles with it.
He’ll shepherd them with an iron rod.
He presses the winepress of Almighty God’s angry fury.
16 His robe, at his thigh, has this name inscribed: King of kings and master of masters.
17 I saw one angel, which was standing on the sun
and crying in a loud voice, telling all the vultures flying in the midheaven,
“Come gather for God’s great dinner! 18 You can eat the flesh of kings,
commanders, mighty men, horses, their riders, and all sorts—free or slave, small or great.”
19 I saw the Beast, the world’s kings, and their armies,
gathered to make war against the one who sits on the horse, and his army.
20 The Beast was captured; with it the fake prophet who made the signs for it—
by which it led astray those who carried the Beast’s stamp, and worshiped its ikon.
The two were thrown, alive, into the fiery, sulfur-burning pool.
21 The rest were killed with the machete
which comes from the mouth of the one who sits on the horse.
All the birds were stuffed on their flesh.

Revelation 20.

1 I saw an angel coming down from heaven,
which had the Abyss’s key and a great chain in its hand.
2 It grabbed the dragon and bound it a millennium—
the old serpent, which is the devil, Satan.
3 It threw it into the Abyss, and shut and sealed it over:
It may no longer deceive the nations till the millennium is complete.
After that, it has to be released a short time.
4 I saw thrones. People sat on them. Judgment was given them.
They’re the souls of those beheaded for testifying of Jesus, for God’s word.
Whoever hadn’t worshiped the Beast nor its ikon, nor took its forehead- nor hand-stamp:
They live! They reign with Christ a millennium.
5 The rest of the dead won’t live till the millennium is complete.
This is the first Resurrection.
6 Those who take part of the first Resurrection are awesome and holy.
The second death has no power over them.
Instead they’ll be God’s and Christ’s priests, and reign with him a millennium.
7 When the millennium is complete, Satan will be released from its prison.
8 It’ll come out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth, to gather Gog and Magóg into a war.
The number of them are like the sand of the sea. 9 They rose up over the edge of the earth.
They surrounded the saints’ encampment, the beloved city. Fire from heaven came down and ate them up.
10 The devil, their deceiver, was thrown into the pool of fire and sulfur, where the Beast and fake prophet are.
They’ll be tortured there, day and night, age to ages.

Revelation 21.

Rv 21.1-4:
God’s will in heaven and on earth.
1 I saw New Heaven and New Earth.
For the first heaven and first earth went away, and the sea isn’t there.
2 I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from heaven, from God.
It’d been prepared like a bride was arranged for her man.
3 I heard a great voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s tent with the people:
He’ll pitch a tent with them. They’ll be his people, and he’s ‘God with them,’ their God.
4 He’ll plaster over every teardrop from their eyes.
Death isn’t there. Neither grief, shouting, nor toil is there. The first things went away.”

Revelation 22.

8 I, John, hear and see these things. Once I heard and saw,
I fell down at the feet of the angel who was showing me these things, to honor him.
9 He told me, “Look; no. I’m a fellow slave of you, your brothers the prophets,
and those who keep the words in this book. Honor God.”

Rv 22.19-20:
My big-ass bibles.
19 I testify to everyone hearing the prophetic words of this book: When anyone adds upon them,
God will add upon them—of the plagues recorded in this book.
20 When anyone subtracts from the words of this prophetic book,
God will subtract from their share—of the holy city’s tree of life, recorded in this book.
